PacificWest 2023 helped nearly 1,200 REALTORS® discover what’s next for real estate
Nearly 1,200 real estate professionals gained insight on what's next for the industry and beyond at PacificWest, Western Canada's premier real estate conference, from October 3-5.
The conference, a joint venture from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB), brought together thought leaders and industry experts under Vancouver Convention Centre’s iconic white sails for three days of social events, seminars, and more.
"PacificWest was an inspiring celebration of our profession, with great opportunities for education, professional development, and networking," said Jeff King, REBGV CEO. "This conference’s success is a small step in toward the future of our profession, building better collaboration and professionalism in the face of almost certain disruption.”
A glimpse of what's next
The inaugural PacificWest revolved around the theme of “what’s next” for real estate.
Beyond seminars, panels, and workshops on regulatory changes, market forecasts, and the structure of organized real estate, the conference explored disruptive technologies, the rise of Indigenous developers, and the future of what it means to be a Realtor.
Over 90 exhibitors also demonstrated their goods and services at the attached trade show, helping Realtors find new potential technologies and services to help them serve their clients better.
Not your average networking opportunity
PacificWest wasn’t just seminars and workshops – the conference included two networking events, including the unforgettable Welcome Reception on October 4.
This reception, open to all PacificWest attendees, saw hundreds of Realtors from across the Lower Mainland mix and mingle among photobooths, games, a DJ and dance floor, and, of course, the aerial acrobats serving champagne.
