The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) recently announced Janice Myers will be their new CEO starting January 2, 2024.

She replaces interim CEO Debra Cowan, after former CEO Michael Bourque stepped down in the fall of 2023.

Myers is currently CEO of the Ottawa Real Estate Board. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board (now part of the Association of Interior REALTORS®). She has wide and varied experiences working with association executive councils, working groups, and real estate industry committees.

She was recognized as one of the top 50 influential women leaders in real estate by Real Estate Professional magazine in 2019.

“As the new CEO, I am proud to build on recent successes, ensuring CREA remains at the forefront of promoting a resilient and transparent real estate ecosystem, fostering trust among stakeholders, and contributing to the sustainable growth of the Canadian real estate markets,” Myers said in CREA's news release.
