Greater Vancouver REALTORS® (GVR) Government Relations Committee (GRC) has won BC Real Estate Association’s (BCREA) Advocacy Award.

This award recognizes a real estate board that has engaged in significant advocacy work for members.

Our GRC received the award for:

  • Outstanding work at the federal level. Our GRC took a strong contingent of members to the Canadian Real Estate Association’s 2023 Political Action Committee (PAC) annual PAC Days in Ottawa and met with elected MPs and their staff, advocating for better housing policies in their communities.
  • Outstanding work done by Harriet Permut, government relations director and Ray Harris, GRC chair, in support of BCREA. This work, which included preparing briefs and submissions with recommendations, meeting with politicians and their staff, and follow up, ensured the GVR’s advocacy aligned with BCREA’s policy agenda.

BCREA presented GVR with the award at the annual Government Relations Days advocacy conference in Victoria. Here, members province-wide met with MLAs to put forward policies favourable to affordable market housing.

Congratulations Harriet Permut and the GRC!
