Commercial REALTOR® William ‘Bill’ Hobbs passed away suddenly in October.

Bill graduated from St. George’s School in 1983, with a reputation as an athletic leader. He was a key member of the track team in the 4x100 metre relay and the javelin throw, and as a big speedy winger on the rugby team.

He started his real estate career with Royal LePage Real Estate Services in 1988. That office later became Cushman & Wakefield, and Bill spent 34 years there before moving on to Colliers in 2022.

Bill’s reputation for exceptional customer service and leadership made him a widely respected figure in commercial real estate. He was a mentor to countless other Realtors and was quick to share his experience and expertise with his friends and colleagues.

It’s estimated that Bill helped sell thousands of acres of industrial land and millions of square feet of warehouse space throughout the Lower Mainland, and most notably in the Port Kells/Northwest Langley areas.

Outside of real estate, Bill was a devoted husband and father. He loved the outdoors, particularly fishing and golfing. He was known as ‘The Tree Whisperer’ to his friends at the Capilano Golf Club.

Bill is survived by his wife Sandra and their children Jordana, Jared, Sam, and Sydney. We extend our deepest condolences to Bill’s family, loved ones, and professional network of colleagues and clients.
