REALTOR® Eric Kai-Hang Poon passed away in November 2022. He was 59.

Eric was born in Hong Kong and moved to Vancouver with his family in 1974. He graduated from the University of British Columbia and decided to get involved in real estate. He was first licensed with Macdonald Realty in 1987 and moved to Macdonald Commercial in 1998. In total, Eric had been with Macdonald for over 30 years, and spent many of those years as a Personal Real Estate Corporation.

Throughout his career, Eric prided himself on delivering exceptional customer service. He was immersed in the real estate market, both residential and commercial, and his deep knowledge allowed him to manage complex sales and lease arrangements for a wide range of clients, many of whom became life-long friends.

Outside of real estate, Eric was a dedicated husband and father to his twins Davis and Victoria. He enjoyed fine food and drink, and entertaining those he loved with his electric, but warm personality.

Eric is survived by his wife, Kathy, twin children, Davis and Victoria, his sister Miranda (Glen), sister-in-law Sue (Larry), brother-in-law Jeffrey (Judy), nieces Vivian (Wayland), Karen (James), Jill (Dan), Jessica and Alexis, nephew Kevin and many grand nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the BC Cancer Foundation in Eric’s memory.
