REALTOR® Theresa Gold Huculak passed away in April. She was 54.

Theresa was born in Vancouver and raised in Coquitlam. She was a manager at Toys R Us before becoming licensed with Royal LePage Real Estate Services in 1990. She also spent time as a broker/owner with Keller Williams. She was most recently with RE/MAX Lifestyles Realty in Port Coquitlam as part of the Theresa Gold Group with her sister, Dianna Sturhahn. 

Theresa was a Medallion Life Member, earning honours for 22 years. She also earned several awards from the different brokerages she worked for during her career. She was a client-first Realtor who earned her success by connecting with people and helping them feel cared for and at ease while helping them buy or sell their home. 

Outside of real estate, Theresa enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: walks outdoors, good wine in the company of good friends and family, and being an awesome mother to her dog Bear and her daughter Choyce. She loved to travel with her husband JR, enjoying destinations like Mexico, Hawaii, and Las Vegas.  

Theresa will be remembered for her vibrant personality and her love of people. Friends, colleagues, clients, and especially family members were always on the receiving end of her warmth, kindness, compassion, and joy. She was an angel on earth, always thinking of how she could help make someone’s day even as she valiantly fought cancer for the last decade of her life. 

Theresa is survived by her husband “JR” Lorne Huculak, daughter Choyce, mother Elaine, sister Dianna Sturhahn, brother-in-law Steve Turnell, mother-in-law Shirley Huculak, brother- and sister-in-law Brett and Shirleen Macmurphy, nieces Jordan Hansen and Courtney Beckner, and nephew Taylor Hansen.
