REBGV members rallied to raise $18,000 for our Blanket Drive charities who help people in need across our Board area during the 28th annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive.

This year’s event combined fundraising along with the traditional collection of blankets and winter clothing to help keep thousands of Metro Vancouverites in need warm during our coldest months.

Thank you to all members who donated, as well as those who helped shepherd the collection, sorting, and distribution of thousands of blankets and pieces of warm clothing. Our volunteers are still sorting clothing and blanket donations for distribution to our partner charities. Once they’ve finished their work, we’ll let you know how many Metro Vancouverites we were able to help.

What is the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive?

During this annual campaign, over 100 Lower Mainland real estate offices serve as drop-off locations for clothing donations. Realtor volunteers then collect, sort, and deliver the donations to local charities.

All clothing donations remain in the same community in which they are collected. More than 70 Lower Mainland charities will receive clothing donations from the Blanket Drive this year.

The REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive is a partnership between the REALTORS® of the Fraser Valley, Greater Vancouver, and Chilliwack and District Real Estate Boards and their communities.
