Within this document, you will find a new mission for the organisation: Leading professionalism and innovation in real estate.

"This body of work demonstrates our intention to pursue the progress, innovation and high ethical standards needed to put our members and profession in a position of strength to face the future together"
Jeff King, REBGV CEO

To achieve the new mission, the organisation will be guided by three foundational pillars of operational excellence, innovation, and industry leadership.

“These pillars are the foundation of our new plan upon which we will set out to re-imagine how real estate is conducted across the region,” King said.

The new strategic plan identifies six strategic priorities for REBGV to achieve over the next 36 months.

They are to:

  1. Act on the recommendations from the professionalism white paper and lead cross-Canada efforts to elevate the standards, accountability, and culture within the REALTOR® profession.
  2. Re-brand, rename and re-position the public profile of REBGV as an advocate for innovation, transparency, and high standards in the real estate transaction.
  3. Deliver an innovative suite of digital products and services that allows Realtors to streamline and enhance the delivery of real estate services.
  4. Leverage data to inform external relations and advocacy, provide members with enhanced market intelligence, and support operational efficiency and results.
  5. Create operational strength, capacity and technological infrastructure to streamline and simplify the ways we deliver services to members.
  6. Achieve REBGV’s responsibilities within the Provincial Priorities Initiative and support efforts other Boards’ pursuits of a streamlined, more effective structure and operational systems and processes within organized real estate.
"This plan calls on REBGV to re-brand, modernize infrastructure, expand services and adopt and advocate for higher standards in our profession. To achieve these goals, we will need our Realtor community to come together and support our efforts in the weeks and months ahead as we pursue this ambitious new agenda."
Jennifer Quart, REBGV Chair

Management is now finalizing an operational plan with detailed objectives and measurements that map out the actions the organization will take to achieve these priorities.

Watch for more information in the months ahead about the initiatives associated with this new plan. We also encourage all members to attend our AGM in March for a detailed update on the Board’s long-term strategic work.
