  • Information on how to apply to serve on a local government advisory committee in your neighbourhood.

Local governments have great sway over the cost of market homes and the business of real estate.

This is your opportunity to influence the decision-making process by being in the room. Consider serving on a local government advisory agency, board, committee, commission, panel, or working group.

Typically, committees meet monthly with a summer break, although some may meet quarterly.

You must apply

Volunteers are appointed by councils and regional boards, often for a multi-year period.

If you’re thinking about serving on a local committee, let us know and we may be able to advise you on how to apply.
