Local governments have great sway over the cost of market homes and the business of real estate.
This is your opportunity to influence the decision-making process by being in the room. Consider serving on a local government advisory agency, board, committee, commission, panel, or working group.
Typically, committees meet monthly with a summer break, although some may meet quarterly.
You must apply
Volunteers are appointed by councils and regional boards, often for a multi-year period.
