Our own Ethics Guy®, Kim Spencer, has decided to retire in May of next year after an extremely diverse and successful career in the real estate profession.

Kim was originally licensed to sell real estate in August 1980. From that time on, he gravitated toward leadership and mentorship positions starting with Block Bros. Realty.

After a few years in sales at Top Producer Systems, Kim spent three years at BCREA as Director of Member Services before being hired to manage REBGV’s new Professional Standards Department in 2006.

Since then, the Ethics Guy®, as he became known and registered as, has been a prominent voice for high standards, civility and practical problem-solving within the profession. He's written countless articles, appeared in numerous videos, and taught hundreds of courses to members during his tenure.

In preparing this announcement, Kim wanted to ensure that we convey how lucky he feels to have been able to work in a profession that has been so good to him for so long.

Kim will continue in his role full-time until May 31, 2024. We'll look for an opportunity at an upcoming member event between now and then to get together in-person and wish him the best in the next chapter of his life.
