At a glance (2 minute read)

  • If your office allows you to load and edit your own listings, you may need to use an amendment form to change some fields.

If you’re one of the majority of members who has the ability to create and maintain your own listings, you may have noticed that you can’t edit all of your listing’s data fields when you log into Paragon.

That’s not an error – you may just need an amendment form to make the change. You’ll need the form for changes to key contractual information, including:

  • Expiration Date
  • Price
  • Commissions
  • Contract terms
  • Listing agent
  • Cancellations
  • Unconditional releases

To be valid, amendment forms must contain the name of the seller(s) and the address of the listing, and be signed by the listing agent, Managing Broker, and seller.

After completing the form, email it to amendments@rebgv.org. We’ll process the form within 48 hours.

Tips to for filling out the amendment form

  • We can’t directly process forms for listings outside of our board area. You can send your Fraser Valley amendments through to us and we’ll forward them on your behalf, but we can’t promise they’ll get processed as quickly as our own listings.
  • We can only change the expiry date on your listing if the amendment form was signed before the current expiry date of your listing.
  • All amendment forms must be submitted to the Board within two days of receiving the form signed by the seller. If you hold onto it for any longer than this, you’ll need to get a new set of signatures.
  • If you’re looking to relist a listing, use the cancellation form as well as the first page of the new listing contract, not the amendment form. This gives us a heads up to cancel protect and then terminate your listing so the MLS® is ready for you to create a new one. Alternatively, you can email the new full contracts and data input form to mls@rebgv.org. Without the first page of the new contract, we’ll only cancel protect the listing.
